Birthday Invitation Project + 60-Second Speech

Part 1 – Create a Birthday Invitation (Canva)

Create your own birthday invitation in Canva.

Your invitation must include:

• Your name

• What you are celebrating (your birthday)

• Your age (e.g. I’m turning 15)

• The date

• The time

• The place

• Some information about the programme (food, music, games, etc.)

Be creative and make it attractive!

🎤 Part 2 – 60-Second Birthday Speech

After creating your invitation, you will give a short speech (about 60 seconds) to invite your classmates to your birthday party.

Your speech should include:

1️⃣ Greeting

• Hi everyone,

• Hello guys,

• Good morning/afternoon,

2️⃣ Say what you are celebrating

• I’m celebrating my birthday.

• I’m turning ___ this year.

• I would like to invite you to my birthday party.

3️⃣ Give important information

• The party will be on…

• It will take place at…

• The party will be at my house / in the park / at a restaurant.

4️⃣ Say what will happen (activities)

Use future forms (will / going to):

• We will have music and food.

• We are going to play games.

• We will eat pizza and cake.

• We are going to dance.

5️⃣ Encourage your classmates to come

• I hope you can come.

• It would mean a lot to me.

• I promise it will be fun.

• I can’t wait to see you.
